Chapter 2: Structuring Your Jewish Philanthropy Program
All Jewish youth philanthropy programs share a common purpose of
promoting philanthropy within a Jewish context. Each individual program, however, is structured differently, according to the needs, goals, skills, and wishes of its creators and its host organization. Jewish youth philanthropy programs are flourishing in a variety of venues, including day schools, supplemental religious schools, private foundations, Jewish nonprofit organizations, Boards of Jewish Education, Jewish social service agencies, and local federations. Each of these venues has different resources available to it, which will influence the make-up of the program.
